Overview

Located in the heart of Tangerang, BAKSO JAGO SS offers a fresh take on Indonesia’s beloved bakso. This charming bakso restaurant on Jl. Maggiore Grande presents a dining experience centered around their signature meatballs and an innovative serving style that sets them apart from typical bakso eateries.

The standout feature here is the way the broth is served separately, often in a small teapot, allowing diners to control the flavor intensity and warmth of their soup. This flexibility emphasizes personalized taste and elevates the simple pleasure of eating bakso. The meatballs themselves are tender and flavorful, clearly crafted with care, as echoed by local patrons who return time and again, often bringing family along to enjoy the comforting familiarity.

BAKSO JAGO SS excels in balancing tradition with subtle innovation. The menu includes smooth plain meatballs and special mixed varieties, offering options to satisfy both purists and those looking for richer combinations. Accompaniments like rambak crackers and sambal enliven the experience, recalling nostalgic memories for customers who enjoy familiar Indonesian chili sauces paired with crunchy textures.

The atmosphere here is inviting and clean, with limited seating that fosters a cozy environment. While it gets warm during peak hours, the overall space feels intimate and supportive of casual, comfort-food dining. Efficient service and refillable tea and condiments add to a sense of hospitality and attentiveness. Though seating is limited and queues may form during busy times, the free parking and friendly staff make the wait worthwhile.

Whether you’re a local or visiting from afar, this spot appeals to bakso enthusiasts seeking an authentic meal with a twist. It is especially suitable for families and groups who appreciate affordable, hearty Indonesian fare served in a thoughtful manner. The added incentive of free ice cream for sharing reviews creates a welcoming community vibe, encouraging diners to engage and return.

In all, BAKSO JAGO SS is more than just another meatball joint — it’s a space where tradition meets subtle innovation, delivering both comfort and delight with each bowl served.

Second time here, my daughter really likes the meatballs, the unique thing here is that the broth is separate so you can add as much as you like

The soup is okay, not as thick as our favorite bakso. But, add two cuts of lime, and some sambal, it tastes delicious! We also had their rambak cracker. Eat it with the chilly sauce, bring me my childhood memories. The place is clean and service was good. We will definitely come back if we want to eat bakso.

Unique serving style, in food container with unlimited broth in teapot. Comfort food. Go for the "special" to avoid the confusion. Resto has limited seat, it becomes warm when full of customers. Tea and condiments are refillable. Free parking. Expect queue during busy hour.
